Cricut, Stickers & Other Tools
In addition to 3D printing, Virtual Reality, and Poster & Photo printing, the Innovation Lab offers a variety of tools for student, faculty, and staff usage.
Button Maker
The Innovation Lab has a simple machine that allows users to make 1″, 1.25″, and 2.25″ pinback buttons/badges with any drawn or printed design. Just bring a circular image or create one in-house and ask staff for the badge components.

Cricut
The Cricut is a digital cutting machine that can cut many different shapes and designs for craft projects. Users can cut materials like vinyl, sticker paper, styrofoam, cardboard, felt, and fabric.
Common Uses: making stickers, vinyl decals for computers, decals for a classroom timeline or poster project, and iron-ons for t-shirts and other fabric projects.

Cost:
Vinyl – $3 / ft of material to the nearest half foot (minimum $1)
Sheets of material – $1 / sheet

Getting Started:
Use the Cricut Design Space program to design an image and then come into the lab to work with an Innovation Lab employee. Users can also send their designs and images to [email protected] for more information on how their item can be printed using the Cricut.
Laminator
The Innovation Lab features a small laminator that laminates items up to 11×17 in size. Anyone can come to the lab and laminate their items. If a user would like the Innovation Lab team to complete a lamination project, they must send the request to [email protected].
*All requests must be submitted at least 2 full business days in advance of when they are needed.

8.5”x11” – $0.50/page
11” x 17” – $1.00/page
Stickers
The Innovation Lab offers a sticker printing service on white vinyl sticker paper. There are 2 options for orders:
- We print – To order stickers send a JPG, JPEG or PNG image to [email protected]. Include the number of stickers and the size requested. We will print stickers on 8.5×11 sticker pages and fit as many stickers as we can on a page.
- You print – Come into the Innovation Lab and use our Cricut machine to design, print and cut your stickers. A guide is available to assist you. You can also request a time to meet with an Innovation Lab staff member to assist you with using the Cricut machine.

Robotics & Programming Tools
The Innovation Lab has a variety of robotics and programming tools available for students, faculty and staff to explore. This includes Sphero Droids, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and many more.

Self-Service Video Digitization Station
The Innovation Lab’s Self-Service Video Digitization Station allows patrons to convert video cassette tapes to digital files.
Using the Digitization Station
- Use of this station costs $5 per tape.
This station is self-service. An instructional manual and limited hands-on assistance is available. If you require individualized instruction, please email the Innovation Lab to schedule an appointment.
Materials Needed to Use the Digitization Station
- This station can transfer VHS tapes.
- Users must bring their own USB drive or cables to connect their own device.
Video Digitization Service
Patrons may also drop off VHS tapes and a USB drive at the Innovation Lab to have the video digitized and transferred onto the drive for a fee. This is a straight conversion, with no editing or enhancement procedure.
- 1st hour of media (minimum on all services): $15
- Each Additional Hour (no partial hours will be charged): $8
Copyright Notice
- Patrons should use this station for the legal transfer of materials.
- Legal uses may include:
- Transferring content for which you own the copyright (home movies, personal recordings)
- Transferring content when you have received permission from the copyright holder.
- Transferring materials in the public domain
- Transferring materials using the Fair Use doctrine
