My Albion

My Albion is an app where all Albion College students, faculty and staff can access campus resources in one easy location. Within this platform, faculty & staff can access programs and processes needed for every day work at Albion, including Purchasing and Requisition Forms, account information, view needed data (such as pay stubs or other self-service information) and even enter grades. Students can access Course Webs, contact information, financial aid, account information, view grades, register for classes, and much more.

Academic Software

Albion has license agreements with numerous software providers. These agreements vary in size and scope. If you would like to request academic software or inquire on currently licensed software, please contact Help Desk at helpdesk@albion.edu.

Access Microsoft Office 365 for Free

Current students, faculty, and staff can download and install Office 365 on personal devices up to five times at no cost. Office 365 is the cloud-based offering of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). Office 365 will always provide the latest versions of Microsoft Office applications and allow you to download updates during the time you are an active Albion faculty or staff member.

Access the Wireless Network (WiFi)

In residence halls, students can access BritNet or BritNetDevices. In all other areas of campus, students, faculty, and staff can access Albion or AlbionDevices.

In order to access AlbionDevices or BritNetDevices, users will need to register the MAC address of their device(s) at userman.albion.edu/macadd. They should sign in using their network username and password.

Nearly all connection issues brought to our attention can be addressed via minor adjustments to the network or the device.

Albion 1Card

The Albion 1Card is the official identification card of Albion College. Issued to all members of the College Community, it is required for identification and access to essential campus services. It also offers a convenient declining balance debit account – Briton Bucks – for making purchases on and around campus. *If you need to replace your Albion 1Card, please visit Help Desk on the ground floor of the Ferguson Building.

Albion Email

Albion College has partnered with Google Apps for Education to bring you this commonly used and robust email platform. Email support can be found on our Email and Google apps site.

Argos

Argos allows faculty and staff to run reports for various reasons. These reports can run information such as budgets, course schedules, and more.

Banner

Banner is administrative software for Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources, and Development data. New faculty members receive their Banner login credentials from the Registrar at their orientation meeting. Staff receives them by request from their supervisor.

Campus Blogs

All members of the college community can create and design a simple blog page. Anyone with an albion.edu email address can get started in minutes. Great for research, class projects, or web portfolios.

Classroom & Lab Technology

Each classroom on campus includes a laminated packet with start up and shut down instructions, as well as troubleshooting tips. Additionally, users can access classroom and lab guides online.

If you are interested in reserving a computer lab for a specified period of time, please make a reservation using the 25Live portal. If the user does not know how to request a room in 25Live, they can use these training materials to get started.

Course Webs / Learning Management System

Moodle Course Webs are the learning management system at Albion. This is where faculty can post communications, class materials, readings, quizzes and more for easy student access. Not all faculty use the platform, so students should touch base with their faculty each semester to see if they have a course web with required readings and homework.

Dell and Apple Education Discounts

Albion College students, faculty, and staff can receive discounts when purchasing Dell or Apple devices. Use the links below to explore available discounts for Education accounts. If prompted, use an albion.edu email account to receive the discount.

Door Access

To request door access for students or employees, please email authorizations@albion.edu. Please keep in mind that these requests sometimes take up to a week to complete. Only Vice-Presidents or Department Heads may authorize staff members to have access to areas with key card locks.

Google Drive & Apps

Albion College utilizes Gmail for email communication, Google Drive for storage, and google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) for various needs on campus. Access Gmail by visiting gmail.com and the drive by visiting drive.google.com. Google Drive provides unlimited storage space to albion.edu users. Click into the folder below to view campus specific training resources for Google products.

Innovation Lab

The Albion College Innovation Lab is a space where students, faculty, and staff can creatively explore and learn. Stop by the lab to design and print 3D objects, try out a virtual reality experience, program a Sphero droid, and use the space to work on creative projects.

Password Help

Users have multiple passwords on campus. At any given time, a user may need to reset their Network, Google, or Albion 1Card password. Visit our Passwords & Pins page for information on how to reset your passwords.

The people directory is the easiest way to find contact information for people within the campus community.

Printing

The Albion College campus offers a variety of services in relation to printing, including MyQ, which allows students, faculty, and staff to print to nearly any printer on campus from nearly any device, as well as poster, photo and color printing services in the Innovation Lab.

Technology Training

Instructional Technology offers a variety of training from one-on-one sessions to in person and digital workshops. We also provide an extensive collection of training guides and videos on various campus technologies.
