How to Apply

As a transfer student, there are two ways to apply for admission:

The Albion Application

The Common Application

Each option will list the additional materials required to complete your application for admission. As a transfer student, you will need to include additional documents, including a college transcript with your GPA. Your courses and grades must be at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Please see the application for a complete list.

You can upload documents online or submit them to the Admission Office by mail or email:

Albion College, 611 E. Porter St., Albion, MI 49224

The Admission Committee will review your file once they have received all of your documents.

“Everyone accepts who you are and welcomes you with open arms. The campus was love at first sight, like a fall scene from a movie.”

Ray Robinson, ‘19

Admission Criteria

Albion students strive for excellence and we base admission primarily on academic performance. We also understand that you may shine in other aspects of your life and we are eager to learn more about those as well. We evaluate the following:

  • College academic program and GPA: Your courses and grades must be at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Completion of the In Good Standing form.

Admission Process: Rolling Admission

You can apply to Albion College as a transfer student at any point during the year through rolling admission. I have been most pleasantly surprised by how friendly and welcoming everyone on campus is, from students, to staff, and even the president… Everyone is willing to help each other, and I wasn't expecting college to be one big community.
