International Studies

Our world is increasingly interdependent. Study language, culture, and society through a global lens.

Develop depth and breadth of knowledge about the human experience. Examine cross-cultural, cross-national, or transnational phenomena through our multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programs.

In our department, you’ll develop a solid grasp of social, political, economic, and historical forces at work in the world. You’ll gain competency in another language and a familiarity with methodologies appropriate to the study of international phenomena.

You’ll learn in an immersive environment, studying abroad for at least a semester in one of the many off-campus programs available to Albion students.

You’ll graduate equipped with the tools to pursue advanced study and work in an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world. Graduates from our department frequently go on to pursue careers in law and government, international relations, international development, business, and human services.
