Victim/Survivor Services

Here when you need support.

Sexual Assault Advocates (SAAs) are members of the Albion College community who have been trained to offer support, advocacy, information, and referrals exclusively to current Albion College students, faculty, and staff who are (a) survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, or stalking or (b) assisting a survivor. You may be unsure of whether or not you meet that criteria, but do not let that deter you from seeking services; our advocates will help you make sense of what happened and get you to the right place. All services are free and do not require health insurance.

SAAs are trained to maintain confidentiality, meaning that they will not disclose information about a client without written permission, except in instances where the client is an imminent and violent threat toward themselves or others, or the client discloses information related to the abuse of a child or vulnerable adult (in which case the proper authorities will be notified so that help can be provided). Speaking with an SAA does not mean that you are obligated to make a report to the Title IX office, Campus Safety, or Albion Public Safety.

To find out more about what our advocates can do for you, explore the drop-down menus below. Advocates marked with a * are especially competent at providing services to the LGBTQIA+ community. Advocates whose names are bolded offer services in Spanish.
