Albion College AmeriCorps Vision

The Albion College AmeriCorps program is a leadership and community engagement initiative which aims to increase volunteerism amongst Albion College students by creating pathways for impactful service within the local community. Each year, up to 40 students from across the Albion campus enroll in AmeriCorps terms of service, varying from 300-450 hours, and partner with local community organizations. Together, they create meaningful change within the five areas of youth development, health and wellness, food security, economic opportunity, sustainability, and the environment.

Enrolled members…
  • Serve 10-15 hours/week in partnership with a local community organization.
  • Receive targeted, intensive professional development, community engagement, and equity theory training.
  • Earn a living allowance during their service term and upon completion, an education award that can be used to offset any educational expenses.
  • Grow personally and professionally while making a difference!
