Matriculation Ceremony

A time-honored Albion College tradition.

Matriculation is a formal process of becoming a student or enrolling in a college. This event marks the moment when all new students (both first-years and transfers) officially become a part of the Albion family in College history.

During this event, our newest students are formally welcomed to the Albion community of scholars by their peers, the faculty and the College’s president. They will participate in traditions to Matriculate into Albion College, such as learning the College hymn, “Albion, Dear Albion” and walking through the Petherick Walk of Scholars and through the Faculty Gauntlet (robed in their traditional academic regalia.)
