While Albion College takes many steps to help maintain a safe and secure campus environment, the College is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. This includes incidents such as theft, fire, water damage, and other unexpected events that may occur in residence halls or campus apartments.
To help protect your belongings, Albion College strongly encourages all residential students to carry renters insurance. The College has partnered with GradGuard, a leading provider of renters insurance designed specifically for college students.
Benefits of renters insurance through GradGuard may include:
- Financial protection for personal belongings
- Coverage for a wide range of incidents, including theft, fire, and water damage
- Optional liability coverage
- Affordable plans designed for students, often costing only a few dollars per month
- Peace of mind knowing your belongings are protected while living on campus
Enrollment in renters insurance is optional, but highly recommended for all residents. Students and families may choose GradGuard or any renters insurance provider of their choice.
Located between Mitchell Towers and Whitehouse/Seaton Hall, the gas fire pit is a great spot to relax, gather with friends, and enjoy evenings on campus.
Fire pit guidelines:
- For community use by Albion College students, faculty, and staff
- Contact your Area Coordinator for more information to reserve the fire pit
- The fire pit is available for use during the following time periods:
- Sunday-Thursday: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Friday & Saturday: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
