The Dow Recreation and Wellness Center
This space is open to current Albion College students, faculty and staff ONLY.
The Dow Recreation and Wellness Center, located adjacent to Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium, is devoted to educational and recreational purposes, including individual and group sports activities, physical conditioning, and health and wellness programs. The building was made possible by a gift from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. The Fieldhouse is named for Dr. Bernard T. Lomas, president of the College, 1970-1983.
Facility Hours
Dow Center
- Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – midnight
- Friday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Sunday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Note: These are the general hours for the Dow Center only. Business hours vary throughout the year and each facility (Lomas Fieldhouse, Ungrodt Tennis Center and Dean Aquatic Center) may have different hours. When the Dow is closed the Dean Aquatic Center will be closed as well.
Serra Fitness Center
- Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 12 a.m.
- Friday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m – 9 p.m.
- Sunday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Lomas Fieldhouse
- Wednesday–Friday: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Saturday–Sunday: 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Dean Aquatic Center
Sunday– Friday: 7-9 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Kresge Gymnasium
Monday – Friday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9am – 10pm.
*Closed during Varsity practices and home games
Ungrodt Tennis Center
This space is only open to varsity tennis team practice.
Multipurpose Room
This space is available for reservation only. Please contact us to make a reservation.
Boathouse
The boathouse is open to Albion College students, faculty and staff. All boats must be returned 10 minutes before close. The boathouse can be closed due to the weather. Please contact the Dow front desk at 517-629-0595 for weather updates.
