Change of Catalog Year

Students do not typically need to change their Catalog Year; however, in some uncommon instances, changing to a different Catalog Year can be beneficial.

We currently have two known reasons why a student may wish to update their Catalog Year:

  1. Students who began their Albion College studies prior to Fall 2024 may wish to update to the 2024-2025 Catalog in order to reduce the total number of Units required to graduate from 32 to 30. Changing to the 2024-25 Catalog is not necessary for students who began their Albion College studies in Fall 2024 (and thereafter).
  2. Students who wish to add a Major or Minor that did not exist when they began their Albion College studies. If a new Major or Minor now exists, it will be necessary to change Catalog Year to 2025-2026 in order to pursue that new Major or Minor. This will also require students to fulfill ALL degree requirements in the 2025-2026 Catalog.

Before you change your Catalog, you are strongly encouraged to discuss the potential change with your Academic Advisor.

If you have already discussed the change with your advisor and you wish to move forward, the request forms can be found here:
