Covering equal pay, entertainment, the environment and more, Albion College celebrates Women’s History Month with a wide variety of events. all of which are free and open to the public. Thursday, March 16: Spoken word performance. Megan Falley is a queer femme author who focuses her spoken word poetry on LGBTQ issues, sex and body positivity, combating sexism and love. 6 p.m., Kellogg Center
Thursday, March 16: Film, Equal Means Equal. Director Kamala Lopez uncovers how outdated and discriminatory attitudes inform and influence seemingly disparate issues, from workplace harassment to domestic violence, sexual assault, the foster care system, the healthcare conglomerate and the judicial system. 7 p.m., Bobbitt Visual Arts Center
Friday, March 17: Comedian: Gina Brillon. The Bronx, N.Y., native released the one-hour comedy special Pacifically Speaking and is featured in Gabriel Iglesias’ theatrical film The Fluffy Movie. She has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, E!’s Chelsea Lately and ABC’s The View, and is the first (and only) Latina winner of NBC’s 2012 Stand Up for Diversity Showcase. 7 p.m., Kellogg Center
Thursday, March 23: Cultural Fashion Show. Members of Albion College’s Black Student Alliance, International Student Union, Muslim Student Association and Power will showcase an array of women’s fashion celebrating a variety of cultures and the diversity of women. 7 p.m., Kellogg Center
Saturday, March 25: Beautifully Wrapped “How To” class. The colorful, spiritual and global practice of head wrapping is enjoyed by people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and continents. Master Wrapper Zarinah El-Amin Naeem will share the unique history of head wrapping. Bring a piece of cloth or use one provided and learn to tie your own work-of-art head wraps. 1:30 p.m., Albion District Library
Wednesday, March 29: Presentation, Embracing Your Natural Beauty. Author and photographer Alyscia Cunningham points out distinctions between the natural beauty within and societal and external measures of beauty and worth. Through her projects, Cunningham is helping to shift the dynamics of beauty into a positive outlook. 8 p.m., Bobbitt Auditorium
Thursday, March 30: Vagina Monologues. Performed by Albion College actors as part of the V-Day observance to end violence against women, the monologues focus on female self-esteem and acceptance. The breach of traditional boundaries gives women the power to love everything about themselves. 6 p.m., Kellogg Center
Tuesday, April 4: Equal Pay Day Table. In observance of National Equal Pay Day, students involved In the Albion branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host an informational table in the Kellogg Center with materials addressing the gender wage gap and action that you can take to address it. 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Kellogg Center
Tuesday, April 4: Anna Howard Shaw Lecture. Presenter Eryn Wise is media coordinator for the Sacred Stone Camp and the International Indigenous Youth Council (IIYC), based on North Dakota’s Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The IIYC empowers youth to become leaders of their Indigenous communities and works to protect land, water and treaty rights. Wise’s talk will be followed by a panel discussion titled “Women, Water, Pipes and People” that features activists from pipeline-affected communities in Michigan. 7 p.m., Bobbitt Visual Arts Center
