Special Passover Foods in Baldwin

The Jewish holiday of Passover or Pesach, commemorating the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery in biblical Egypt to freedom, began April 1st at sundown and will continue through sundown April 9th. To celebrate, Jews traditionally fast from chametz (food that is leavened) and gather with family and friends to retell the Exodus story through food, scripture, music, and other traditions at seders (ceremonial dinners). In honor of Passover, Metz dining is providing several traditional foods in lower Baldwin, including but not limited to matzo, matzo ball soup, deviled eggs, pickled beets, charoset, and sweet kugel. Find them on the table to the right of the cash register.
