Looking for a GAP Year program that pays?
Join us for an Information Session with City Year on Tuesday, March 31 from 12:30-1:30 pm in the Career and Internship Center, Ferguson Hall, 3rd floor. Pizza and beverages will be provided.
City Year is an education-focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. At City Year’s 29 urban locations across the U.S., teams of trained young people called AmeriCorps members serve full-time in schools during the academic year as tutors, mentors, and role models. By focusing on attendance, behavior, and course performance, which identify students at risk of not graduating on time, AmeriCorps members are positioned to help students and schools succeed. Members earn $7,395 towards an education scholarship and receive a biweekly stipend between $907 – $1,386, based on the state location.
If you are unable to attend the information session but would like to schedule a one-on-one appointment with the City Year representative, Robert Humphrey, please contact Dawn Hernandez at [email protected] or 517-629-0332.
