Albion makes list of private colleges offering generous financial aid

Albion College has been included in a Forbes list of 25 private colleges which offer generous financial-aid packages.
The article (25 Schools with Generous Financial Aid) noted that Albion students receive an average scholarship of $46,051, which pays for about 66% of the $70,116 total cost of attendance.
It added, “Popular majors at Albion include biology, economics and communication, and the school is well-known for its equestrian center. The small-town campus spans 574 acres that includes five miles of hiking trails and 140 acres of outdoor education space.”
In June, Albion College was named one of The Princeton Review’s 209 Best Value Colleges for 2025, earning an impressive return-on-investment rating of 88 out of 99. Albion is one of just two private colleges in the state of Michigan — alongside Kalamazoo College — to make the list.
More than 650 colleges and universities were surveyed for the 2025 rankings, and 209 earned The Princeton Review’s highest ROI ratings. The ratings were based on more than 40 data points collected from the 2024–2025 survey cycle, including academics, affordability, and career preparation.
