Nominations due Jan. 15: New Purple and Gold Service Award
We’re pleased to share an important addition to Albion’s tradition of recognizing outstanding Britons! This year, we are introducing the Purple & Gold Service Award, created to honor alumni and supporters whose long-term, meaningful engagement has strengthened the Albion College community. Their commitment—whether through advocacy, mentorship, service, or participation—helps move the College forward in significant and lasting ways.
Current faculty and staff are invited to submit a nomination for this award by Jan. 15, 2026. Nominations will be reviewed by a staff selection committee, and awardees will be confirmed by the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Office of the President. Recipients will be honored at the Alumni Awards Ceremony during Purple & Gold Weekend in April.
In order to be eligible, alumni and supporters must meet the following criteria:
- Must have demonstrated at least 10 years of engagement with the College.
- Engagement may include (but is not limited to): Serving on boards, committees, or affinity groups; mentoring students or recent graduates; supporting and/or participating in College programs; advocacy for the College.
- Must not be a current member of the Board of Trustees or Alumni Board or employed by the College at the time of selection.
