Peggy graduated from Albion with a bachelor’s degree in English and earned her MBA in management and marketing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She retired in 2016 as the president and CEO of Albion Economic Development Corporation (EDC). She was with the EDC for more than 20 years. Previously she worked for the college, last as associate director of facilities, as well as serving as regional marketing manager for a title insurance company, and working as a real estate agent.
Peggy is a Homestead Savings Bank (Albion) emeritus board member and immediate past chair. She has served on many other boards, including Battle Creek Health Systems, Battle Creek Community Partners, Albion Community Foundation, Albion Health Care Alliance, to name a few. She has chaired numerous boards and served as a Rotary assistant district governor. She currently serves as treasurer for the Calhoun County unit of the League of Women Voters.
Peggy’s husband Conrad ’69 passed away in February 2020. He was circuit judge for Calhoun County, including serving as chief judge, and retired in 2015. They are the namesakes of the Conrad J. and Margaret Meyer Sindt Experiential Learning Endowment. The Richard and Barbara Meyer Student Research Endowment is a fund named in honor of her parents (both deceased and members of the class of 1950).
