Brooke Van Loh

Assistant Professor

Van Loh’s Albion College career began in 2025 where she teaches Introduction to Psychology as well as neuroscience courses. Her research focuses on the impacts of light quality, duration, intensity, and timing on brain function, reproductive health, and mental health.

She has received both B.S. and PhD in neuroscience from Michigan State University.

Her teaching has been recognized by the Bailey Scholar’s Program at Michigan State University, where she received the Heart of Harlow teaching award. She has been published in Frontiers in Endocrinology, Neuroendocrinology, and The Journal of Neuroscience Research, as well as highlighted by the Endocrine Society.

She has also contributed to a textbook titled “Biological implications of Circadian Disruption: A Modern Health Challenge,” and a variety of podcasts on neuroscience.
