January 24, 2023

Dear Albion College community,

Please be advised that the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Eaton, Ingham, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson Counties from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25. Snow is expected in these areas.

Snow will spread into Southern Lower Michigan Wednesday morning between 5-7 a.m. Locations along I-94 will see impacts to travel for the morning commute.
The snow will be heavy at times through the course of the day.

The highest snowfall totals will likely occur east of Kalamazoo and south of Lansing. Three to six inches of new snow will be common within the advisory by the time it ends Wednesday evening. Many areas have not seen appreciable snowfall in the last several weeks, but winter conditions return on Wednesday.

Please slow down, allow extra time to reach your destination and use your winter driving skills.

Stay safe and warm, Brits. Look out for one another. And say thank you to the Grounds crew, who will be at work very early and very late, shoveling, digging and plowing us all out on campus. They are pretty awesome. So make sure to give them a shout-out when you see them.
