Why Study Pre-Dental at Albion?

Through our pre-dental program, you’ll complete the coursework, service, clinical experience and research you need to take your next steps in dentistry. Thanks to our rigorous academic and co-curricular programming, over the past 10 years, 100% of Albion students that have applied to dental school have been accepted.

You’ll learn from professors and advisors in the field and develop close relationships with your cohort that will prepare you to work well as part of a team. You’ll have all the benefits of a broad liberal arts education, developing cultural competence, communication, teamwork, and social skills as you learn through one-on-one mentorship with faculty, close relationships with your peers and plenty of opportunities for active learning.

What Will You Learn as a Pre-Dental Student?

While many pre-dentistry students major in biology or biochemistry, our pre-dental program caters to students from any major. You'll also take classes in English, math and social sciences that will contextualize your scientific study and ensure you meet the requirements for dental school.

You’ll develop a broad foundation in biology, chemistry and physics, taking classes in genetics, human anatomy, biochemistry and cell and molecular biology.

Through our broad liberal arts education, you’ll develop the creative, analytical, critical thinking and communication skills that will help you succeed in the Dental Admissions Test (DAT), professional school and your future career.

You'll learn by doing, gaining hands-on experience through clinical placements, internships, volunteering, community engagement and research.
