NOVEMBER EVENTS AT WNC:

 

11/08 @1pm-4pm: Indigenous jewelry, beading, and copper bowl making class. Join the Office of Belonging Saturday, November 8, from 1-3 p.m., in welcoming Mary Lee (Sacred Elder and Anishinaabekwe Artist from Little River Band of Odawa) and Donald Chippewa III (Owner of Gimishoome Design and tribal member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians) to Whitehouse Nature Center as they share their knowledge and lead attendees in creating either a beaded item or a copper bowl.  Class size is limited to 20 for each item, so please RSVP to [email protected].

 

11/16 @10am-12pm: Bird Walk. Join renowned ornithologists Dale Kennedy and Doug White for a bird walk on the nature center’s trails. Meet at the visitor’s center at 10am.

 

11/19 @7:30pm: Star Walk with Astronomy club. Join the Astronomy Club and Whitehouse Nature Center on November 19th @7:30pm for a nighttime walk under the stars. We will have donuts and hot chocolate for everyone beforehand, and then we’ll go as a group out onto the Nature Center’s trails to have a look at the beautiful night sky.
