At Albion College, we are committed to a safe and healthy return to campus for our whole community. Guided by a robust set of public health protocols, we are preparing to resume face-to-face instruction in line with our Academic Plan for the Fall 2020 semester.
In addition, Albion College has launched an ambitious Comprehensive Public Health Initiative that will advance community conversation and understanding of the social, political, economic and public health dimensions of the pandemic. This endeavor features a range of academic components for students—including training in contact tracing and expanded nursing opportunities—as well as public health training for all members of the Albion College community.
We are working closely with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Calhoun County Public Health Department (CCPHD) to monitor coronavirus developments in our region. Additionally, we are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and are communicating regularly with the Albion College community through email and this webpage.
We know that many of you have questions about how we can all work together to protect our community in the fall, and we are committed to providing answers. Albion College students and families are invited to join President Johnson and Dean Wright on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 7:00 pm EDT for a virtual meeting. During the meeting, we will share the latest information about Albion’s plans for fall and answer your questions. Register now for our students and families meeting.
Staff and faculty can log into Intrepid to read regular updates sent from the Office of the President.
