Lisa Locke, director of human resources, shared the following message in an email to Albion College faculty and staff:
Thank you to everyone who has been coming through the health screening station before reporting to on-campus work. Your cooperation with this process is a key step for us to provide a healthy, safe environment for our community.
Monday - Friday (excluding holidays)
5:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
Beginning next Monday, June 8, 2020, we are modifying the morning hours for the screening station. This earlier start will accommodate our grounds and maintenance staff who start their work day much earlier than many of us and anyone else who wants/needs to have an early start to the work day.
Due to the limited utilization of the noon-1 p.m. time slot we will not be modifying the afternoon schedule at this time.
We know we have employees who need to be on campus outside the 8 a.m.-5 p.m. business hours and on weekends. We have developed a Google form (distributed to employees via email) for self-reporting of the Health Assessment Screening questions. This should only be used by individuals who are unable to go through the Health Assessment Screening Station and who are accessing campus facilities after-hours or on weekends and holidays.
We are now permitting limited access for faculty and staff to access to their work spaces to retrieve items or for other specific short term reasons. To access your work space, you need to complete the health screening process for the day in which you would like access. Once you have completed the screening process, call Campus Safety (517-629-1234) to request admittance into the building where you work. Please be sure you are wearing your wristband (issued at the Health Assessment Screening Station once authorized) and be prepared to present your Albion College ID card when you meet the officer. Please build in extra time to your expected time on campus to allow for Campus Safety.
Faculty and staff who would like regular, extended access to their workspaces should contact their division head. If approved, division heads should communicate approval to and .
