End of Semester Dates
The end of the semester is swiftly approaching. Students are wrapping up classes and some will graduate this December. We wish all students a happy and healthy winter break. Below is the end of semester schedule. The full academic calendar can be viewed at any time on our website.
- Friday, December 10, 2021: Last day of classes
- Saturday and Sunday, December 11-12, 2021: Reading days
- Monday-Thursday, December 13-16, 2021: Final exams
- Thursday, December 16, 2021: All residential buildings close at 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 22, 2021: Final grades viewable on ACIS at 5 p.m.
- Friday, December 31, 2021: Degrees awarded to December graduates (no commencement ceremony)
- Sunday, January 16, 2022: All residential buildings open for spring semester at noon
- Tuesday, January 18, 2022: First day of spring semester classes

Upcoming Events
Remember to check the website’s event calendar regularly for upcoming events. Of special note is the returning much-loved Lessons and Carols on December 5 at 7 p.m., which will be livestreamed on the College’s YouTube channel. The performance is a holiday celebration put on by the Albion Concert Choir and the Briton Singers.
Faculty Highlight: Helena Mesa
“I can’t imagine not writing and I can’t imagine not teaching,” says professor of English Dr. Helena Mesa in her faculty profile. Her love of writing came later than for most, beginning in her senior year of college. Once the spark ignited, Mesa developed a passion for poetry and for teaching. She encourages students to celebrate their development as writers, and helps them discover an appreciation for poetry.
