Historic St. John’s Parish to Transform Into Alumni Unity Hall

Preservation and redevelopment are already underway and will bring new life to the historic community landmark at Cass and Huron streets. Alumni Unity Hall will be a center for student and alumni networking, multicultural events, performing arts, and alumni and career services.

Join in on the Fun of Giving to Albion College! On the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, alumni, friends and supporters will come together for 24 hours of giving and investing in Albion. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference in the quality of education provided to our students.

Somewhere in the quarantine experiences of the past year and a half, there had to be the occasional positive story—and the professor of German found one while spending the 2020-21 academic year in Paris to complete his research and writing for his newly published book.

Albion Recognized for Gains in Student Voting

Following a cross-campus effort to increase student voter registration and participation in the 2020 election cycle, Albion College has been recognized with a Silver Seal from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. Despite the COVID pandemic, the College’s student voting rate rose from 43.3% in 2016 to 61.7% in 2020.

Lessons and Carols Is December 5

The holiday season is near, and with it comes Albion’s 55th annual Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 5 at 7 p.m in Goodrich Chapel. The Music Department event, featuring the Albion College Concert Choir and Briton Singers, was introduced on campus by the late David L. Strickler in 1966 and has been a cherished tradition ever since. Lessons and Carols is free and open to the public; the performance and service will also be streamed live on the College’s YouTube channel.

The Albion football team concluded a 9-2 season November 20 with the first NCAA Division III playoff game at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium in 23 years. One week earlier, the Britons won their 38th MIAA championship. Stay on top of all things Albion athletics at GoBrits.com.
