Wes Dick was recognized at Albion College's 2015 Honors Convocation with the United Methodist Church Exemplary Teaching Award. This honor is given annually at each Methodist-affiliated college, to a teacher who recognizes excellence in teaching, civility and concern for students and colleagues, commitment to value-center education, and service to students, the institution and the community.

For Albion Biology Students, a Conference Experience to Remember

Seven students notched a major achievement in their Albion College careers by having their abstracts selected as part of the 2015 Experimental Biology conference, an annual gathering of six leading associations in disciplines ranging from anatomy and physiology to biochemistry and nutrition. For two of the students—Safiya Syed, ’16 (left), and Morgan Carey, ’15—the trip to Boston last month brought additional accolades, ones not usually bestowed on undergraduates.

Wolfe, Albion Get Up Close with Microbes at Symposium Keynote

Virologist Nathan Wolfe's fascinating peek into the microbial world, with its corresponding benefits and catastrophes for humans, capped Albion College's 26th annual Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium on April 23. An internationally respected researcher who invented his field of "viral forecasting," Wolfe captivated the crowd in Goodrich Chapel with his work monitoring pathogen outbreaks in order to prevent pandemic infections.
