Free food, live music and a game under the lights are in store as Albion College hosts “Community Day” on Saturday, September 5 at the College’s Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium. The community/alumni tailgate begins at 4 p.m. in the Ferguson parking lot at the corner of East Erie and Hannah Streets, while kickoff for the game is 6 p.m.
Community Day is also one of the College’s many canned food drives. Admission to the Community Day game is free to every person bringing a nonperishable food item. All food collected goes to food banks operating in the Albion area.
Who Cross Dat Road blues band, an Albion favorite, keeps the party going with live music from 4-6 p.m. The band is led by Ronnie Parker, a former assistant coach for the Britons for many years.
Community members are asked to RSVP for the free dinner, by going to www.gobrits.com/presidents-tailgate-09-05 or by calling the Office of Alumni Engagement, 517/629-0448.
