With Albion College's transition to online classes and with the rapidly changing circumstances involving COVID-19, the Center for Sustainability's Earth Day events scheduled through April 22 have been rescheduled until this fall with dates to be determined.
Saturday, April 18 Earth Day Celebration activities will include a Whitehouse Nature Center Trail walk, Trail Dedication, a Kalamazoo River Clean up and • Earth Day Story Time at Sterling Books. Exact times will be announced at a later date.
The 50th anniversary of Earth Day doesn't take place until April, but Albion College starts the celebration in March, thanks to a major gift from Bruce Harper, '67, and his wife Jane. The Harpers gave more than $100,000 to Albion College for climate change education and action, and to commemorate Earth Day. All events are free and open to the public.
