Rick Gillett, ’75, has been an environmental education teacher for over 30 years, serving for the past nine years at the Goodwillie Environmental School, run by Forest Hills Public Schools, and before that at the Blandford School, a similar program run by Grand Rapids Public Schools. Gillett also serves on the board of Blandford Nature Center and Mixed Greens, an effort to encourage children and their home communities to connect to the land. He and his wife, Linda, live on a 160-acre farm in Ada.

Mark Lyster, ’75, had a major stroke in March 2007 which has left him partially paralyzed. He was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the prostate a month later.
