About Senior Class Gift
The Senior Class Gift is a long-standing Albion College tradition that began in the late-1800s. The members of the graduating class choose a project that exemplifies their experiences as students and/or through which they want to have an impact on the College. As graduates celebrate their transition from students to alumni and reflect on their growth, the Senior Class Gift signifies their lifelong relationship with “Albion, dear Albion.”
SCG ’24
The Class of 2024 is one that has been heavily impacted by COVID-19: These students did not have a “normal” end to their senior year of high school – they didn’t even have a high school graduation. The start of their college years was just as – if not more – abnormal. Classes were hybrid; masks were everywhere; socializing was difficult to navigate, among other things.
The Class of 2024 wants to help other classes navigate their college journeys as well. Given that graduation is at the epicenter of what COVID-19 took from the Class of 2024, these students want to do what they can to ensure that future classes have smooth graduation ceremonies full of memories to last a lifetime.
Overall, the goals of this class feel very reminiscent of something that a parent/guardian might have told you when you were going to babysit:
Leave the house in better shape than you found it.
The Class of 2024, essentially, would like to leave Albion in better shape than they found it, and a key way to do that, they believe, is by supplying additional caps and gowns to the Cutler Center Cap and Gown Rental Program. The accessibility of renting caps and gowns ensures that cost is not a barrier to students celebrating their graduation day.
Seniors participating in the Senior Class Gift can earn purple and gold cords for the commencement ceremony. To receive cords, participating seniors must earn at least 30 points by April 24, 2024.

“Proud of Our Graduate” Yard Signs
Yard signs are available for purchase and pick-up at commencement. Pre-order via this form or purchase on-site at commencement while supplies last. Proceeds benefit the 2024 Senior Class Gift: Cutler Center Cap & Gown Rental Program.
