DESCRIPTION:Explore a Future Career in Veterinary Medicine!\nAlbion College’s Lisa and James Wilson Institute for Medicine is pleased to celebrate its fourth year of — Brit Vets! \n Brit Vets is a veterinary medicine preparatory camp for high school students entering 10-12 grades who are interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Student participants will have the opportunity to learn in hands-on environments while working with multi-disciplinary faculty from across campus. Held each fall\, this event is for students seeking full-time employment\, internships\, after-graduation service projects\, information on graduate/professional programs\, and those interested in domestic off-campus study. \nFor those seeking a job or internship\, Beyond Albion is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally in-person to a potential employer while showcasing your communication skills.  The keys to a successful experience are preparation and follow-up. Here is a checklist to help you get prepared! \n \n\nResearch the list of participating employers through Handshake.\nGet your resume reviewed  (see Gerstacker or CIC).\nPrepare your 30-second introduction and practice with the Gerstacker or CIC staff members.\nMake sure you have a suit\, padfolio\, and numerous copies of your resume printed on resume paper!\nDon't forget to ask for business cards at the job fair so you can follow up with thank-you notes.\n\n \nThere will be a photo backdrop at Beyond Albion.
