A 2019 graduate of Forest Hills Northern High School, he earned degrees from Grand Rapids Community College and Albion College. Swift joined the Navy to grow as a leader and make his family proud, crediting his hometown with instilling a strong work ethic. He is most proud of commissioning as an officer and supporting his fellow sailors.
