SUMMARY:Cultures of Belonging Program Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Albion College is dedicated to advancing education and professional development in the areas of Equity\, Inclusion\, and Belonging (EIB). In collaboration\, the Office of Belonging and the Office of Human Resources have developed the Belonging of Cultures Certificate Program\, open to all Albion College employees. This program provides faculty and staff with the opportunity to participate in a structured professional development experience\, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment. \n  \nProgram Details: \nParticipants who successfully complete the program will have the tools to engage in EIB conversations and feel comfortable. Participants will possess the following: \n \n\n\nSkills to have difficult conversations around EIB and increase their knowledge of EIB initiatives. \n\n\nThe ability to understand key terms and concepts of EIB. \n\n\nOpportunities to further their development in EIB and opportunities to train in the future. \n\n\nObtain an official certificate of completion\, signed by the President and Vice President of Belonging. \n\n\n \n  \nEligibility:  \nThis program is available to all Albion College faculty and staff (salaried and hourly).  \n  \nParticipate Commitments: \n \n\n\nComplete all seven core EIB professional development workshops/trainings. \n\n\nAttend two EIB programs/events offered by the Office of Belonging. \n\n\nProgram total hours to complete is 14 hours (each training session 2 hours).  \n\n\n \n  \nCore Trainings/Workshops: \nAll participants must complete all 7 core EIB professional development trainings/workshops listed below.
