DESCRIPTION:Explore a Future Career in Veterinary Medicine!\nAlbion College’s Lisa and James Wilson Institute for Medicine is pleased to celebrate its fourth year of — Brit Vets! \n Brit Vets is a veterinary medicine preparatory camp for high school students entering 10-12 grades who are interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Student participants will have the opportunity to learn in hands-on environments while working with multi-disciplinary faculty from across campus. In addition\, students will learn from small animal veterinarians and large animal veterinarians at our Held Equestrian Center. \nRegister Now \nThe students will also participate in sessions on college and veterinary medical school admissions with a focus on how they can better prepare themselves for a career as a veterinarian. \nOutside of the classroom\, students will experience a little bit of college life\, with evening activities such as a night at the historic Bohm Theater\, a campus scavenger hunt\, yard games\, and open gym to name a few. SUMMARY:Equestrian Hunt Seat Camp
DESCRIPTION:Register Today\n  \n \nThe Albion College Equestrian Team welcomes you to sign up for one of the Varsity Hunt Seat Camps dates for 2024.\n  \nThe camp will be located at the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center at Albion College in Albion\, Michigan.  Riders will stay and eat on campus and be transported from the College to the Center (approximately 1 mile). \nCamp Details\nOn Day 1 (tentatively 5:00pm) campers will check-into the campus residential hall and then head to the center for an assessment ride along with a welcome reception. Riders will ride twice per day on our school horses and participate in team building exercises.  (Full camp schedule will be available soon) \nWho should join us \n\nCo-educational camp for equestrians in the class of 2024\, 2025\, 2026\, 2027\n\nRiding prerequisites \n\nRiders must be able to groom and tack up their own horse\nRiders must be able to walk\, trot\, and center on the flat and jump complete courses of 2′ or higher on an unfamiliar horse.\nRiders are required to send video demonstrating competency at least 30 days before the start of their selected camp session.\n\nCamp cost:  $1\,300.00 ($150 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration)\nIncludes: Overnight accommodations in our residential hall\, meals in our campus dining hall\, sessions facilitated by Albion College coaches\, and evening activities. \nRegister Today \nDeadline: 3 weeks prior to selected camp start date. \nQuestions Contact\nCoach Mitchell – cpmitchell@albion.edu \nTour the Equestrian Center \n  \n
