Guide for Reunion Planning Committees
Thank you for your interest in helping to plan a reunion for your class! Please see the details below to help you begin the planning process.
Volunteer leadership from the reunion classes is essential for successful attendance at reunion events and to ensure an engaging experience. Reunion planning chairs/committees are responsible for confirming and coordinating details for the event and encouraging classmates to register/attend.
Homecoming 2024 Timeline
- July 1: Deadline to sign up as a reunion planning chair or committee member
- July: Committee meeting(s)
- August 1: Deadline for reunion details (time, location, registration cost)
- Mid-August: Homecoming registration live
- August-September: Promoting to classmates and encouraging registration; Committee meeting(s)
- October 4-5: Homecoming!
Volunteers: Initial Checklist
- Email [email protected] by July 1 to indicate interest/availability for the planning committee
- Complete Volunteer Privacy Agreement
Committee Responsibilities Include:
- Determining time and location for reunion
- Coordinating with venue for food and drink offerings and to determine cost per person
- Regular communication with Alumni Engagement staff regarding progress on checklist
- Planning any program or activities to occur during the reunion
- Promoting the reunion to classmates for registration and attendance
For groups meeting the timeline above, Alumni Engagement staff will provide:
- Consultation regarding location and registration cost
- Support during committee meetings
- Official College communication regarding Homecoming schedule, reunion plans, and registration
- Support for outreach to classmates
- Registration lists, name tags, and Albion College décor for the event
