In a nutshell, what do you do?

In the fall of 2019, I will be attending Ohio University in Athens, OH pursuing a dual degree master’s program. The program is a two year Master’s of Business Administration/Master’s of Sport Administration program. After graduating from Ohio University, I want to work towards a career in collegiate athletics, eventually making my way up to becoming an athletic director of a Division III NCAA institution.

Why do you love what you do?

During my time at Albion, I was a student-athlete on the Women’s Volleyball team. I absolutely loved my student-athlete experience at the DIII level. It inspired me to continue in the sports business field and work with future student-athletes to reach their fullest potential academically and athletically.

How did Albion help you get there?

During my senior year at Albion, I was able to work in the Athletic Department alongside Melissa Walton as an Administrative Assistant and Bobby Lee as a Sports Information Photographer. These positions provided me with a new perspective of collegiate athletics and inspired me to pursue my masters in the Sports Business realm. I am very excited to see where life takes me at Ohio University and beyond. My Albion experience was one of a kind because of the phenomenal professors, advisors, peers, teammates, and many more people that I had the opportunity to work and interact with. I am very thankful for my student-athlete experience at Albion. It has shaped me into the woman and leader I am today.

For me, Albion…

… For me, Albion is more than just a DIII liberal arts institution. It is comprised of some of the most passionate, determined, supportive, inspiring and strong people I have ever met. Its massive alumni network is unparalleled. The endless networking and resume building opportunities provided help many students grow and learn about their desired career paths. Albion’s Greek Life focuses on philanthropy and service and allows men and women to serve in leadership positions of all kinds. I am very thankful to have experienced numerous different aspects of campus life including athletics, Gerstacker, Greek Life, and more. All of these things have molded me into the person I am today. I am forever thankful for my Albion experience.
