Dr. Lisa B. Lewis, professor of chemistry, has been named provost of Albion College, President Wayne Webster announced on Monday, February 26. Lewis has been serving as Albion’s interim provost since fall 2022.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Albion from noon today, Jan. 15 through Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. The forecast throughout Saturday, Jan. 20 calls for freezing temperatures and wind chill readings reaching 10–20 degrees below zero.

January 11, 2024

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area beginning Friday afternoon and lasting through Saturday evening. A potential of 5-9 total inches of snow is forecast, along with freezing temperatures and heavy winds up to 50 mph. Campus offices will close as early as 12 p.m., tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 12, to ensure employees are able to travel home safely.

For nearly 3 decades, Albion College and the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture have collaborated to extend Albion’s campus and create transformative student learning experiences in Chicago. Building on this ongoing partnership, Albion College has signed an agreement with the Chicago Center to begin managing The Philadelphia Center starting this fall.

Mike Fox, a seasoned higher education and nonprofit financial manager, has been appointed interim chief financial officer at Albion College, effective Monday, August 21.
