While campus came through the storm relatively unscathed, there are some downed trees and limbs that our outstanding Grounds Crew is working to clean up quickly so please be cautious as you walk across campus and through the area neighborhoods.

Conditions are deteriorating rapidly this evening and we urge you to remain in your residence halls, apartments or homes until conditions begin to improve.

The National Weather Center is advising that today’s winter storm has the potential to cause power outages in our area. Given our recent history and with an abundance of caution, please take a few moments to prepare.

Beginning 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24, through Wednesday, March 1, the Kellogg Center will be closed to the public for spring semester maintenance, including the stripping and waxing the floors on the first and second floors of the Kellogg Center.

Your campus is here for you today, Britons. Our faculty and staff are ready to support you, provide resources or offer a haven from a world that has momentarily turned upside down.

Our hearts are with MSU’s students, faculty and staff as they navigate through the shooting on their campus last night that took the lives of three students, severely injured five more and impacted so many of the Spartan family. As Britons, we are sending our collective thoughts and prayers as they find a resolution to this horrific incident and work through needed healing during this difficult time.
