A listing of Albion College Homecoming 2016 events can be found below. The drop-down menu can be used to view events for individual days. The Homecoming Booklet with all scheduled events and locations will be mailed to all alumni this summer and will be available at the registration desk during Homecoming.

Registration is closed as of Wednesday, October 12 at 4 p.m. EST.

If you have not registered prior to this date, please stop at the registration and information tent near the Kellogg Center to register, or go to the "Walk-in" line for lunch.

Art Exhibits Open

Location: Bobbitt Visual Arts Center

"Bobbitt Art Studios: Surfaces Remembered"

Albion College's print collection on view in the Munro Gallery, which recently received an updated evaluation and appraisal by Rudy Aronoff, an associate at Roberta Kramer & Associates a firm in Chicago. This process was funded by John, '61 and Karen Munro, '66 Vournakis. Karen's work will be highlighted in the Martha Dickinson Gallery.

Ludington Center Celebration and Ribbon-Cutting

Location: 101 Superior Street, Albion

Celebrate the opening of the Ludington Center with President Ditzler, the Ludington Family, Board of Trustees and community partners. The ribboncutting ceremony will take place at 12 p.m., followed by the open house highlighting the anchor tenants of the Ludington Center, including the Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management, the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service, Albion College Career and Internship Center, AmeriCorps VISTA program, the Build Albion Fellows and more.

Briton Career Connections

Location: Kellogg Center, stack, 2nd floor

The Albion College Career and Internship Center invites alumni and College partners to share your experiences and network with students and young professionals. Share your experiences and guide aspiring young professionals through personal conversations with students about their career paths at this event.

Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner

Location: Upper Baldwin Hall

Albion College will induct individuals and teams into the College's Athletic Hall of Fame for their distinguished achievement in, or service to, Briton athletics. Dinner and Ceremony at 6:30 p.m., Register by September 30 to receive a complimentary dinner.

Gerstacker Institute Open House

Location: Robinson Hall

Gerstacker Institute director, Laurel Draudt and current Gerstacker students will be available to provide updates and insights on the Gerstacker Institute. We look forward to you stopping by the Gerstacker suite and reminiscing about your time with the Institute.

9 - 11 a.m.

Ford Institute Open House

Location: Robinson Hall

Open House for Ford alumni and current students.

Library and College Archives Display

Location: First Floor, Kellogg Center

Do you have questions about the history of Albion College? Stop at the Library's Homecoming display and meet the College's Marilyn Crandell Schleg Archivist, Justin Seidler. On display will be numerous Albion College yearbooks, issues of the Pleiad, and a variety of artifacts and photos from the College Archives collection. We invite alumni to share memories and to help identify people and events in some of the unlabeled photographs that have been added to the Archives Collection through the years.

Join Albion College President Mauri Ditzler, Preident's Advisory Council and the Alumni Board for an update on the current state of the College.

Psychology Reception

Location: Olin Hall, 3rd floor lounge

Come join Albion College Department of Psychological Science faculty and staff to mingle with fellow alumni, parents, and friends. Light refreshments will be provided.

Chemistry and Biochemistry Tailgate Reception

Location: Tailgate - Ferguson Parking Lot

The Chemistry Department welcomes alumni of all majors to our annual event. Come join us for a burger and a beverage and a few stories. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Homecoming Tailgate

Location: Green space south of Kellogg Center, near the Ferguson Parking Lot

A stop at this tent is a must! Mingle with fellow alumni, parents, and friends, pick up some fun giveaways, and kick off your Homecoming right.

Whitehouse Nature Center Interpretive Building Open

Location: Outside Whitehouse Nature Center

The Whitehouse Nature Center offers guests the chance to learn about nature as well as explore the ecosystem of the Kalamazoo River with several beautiful nature trails. Trails open from dawn to dusk.

The New Randi C. Heathman Indoor Arena Dedication

Please join Albion College President Mauri Ditzler, staff and students to celebrate the opening of the new Randi C. Heathman Indoor area. As a special guest, Albion's first equestrian program director, George Halkett, will be in attendance to greet alumni and friends as we celebrate the next phase of this growing program.

Alumni Band Rehearsal

Location: Goodrich Chapel

The British Eighth Alumni Band will rehearse Saturday morning at Goodrich Chapel, and will perform together with the College's current marching band. Both bands will march to the tailgate area for lunch and during halftime of the home football game. Both bands will play from the stands during the game. All former marching band members from any year are welcome to participate.

Anthropology and Sociology invites all current and former students to join our informal gathering before the game. See old friends, make new ones.

Homecoming Lunch

Location: Big "Brit" Tent, green space south of Kellogg Center, near the Ferguson Parking Lot

All alumni, faculty, staff and friends are invited to a pre-game luncheon.

Football Game vs. Olivet College

Location: Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium

Cheer on the Britons! The halftime program will feature the Homecoming Court, the British Eighth, and the Alumni Band. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $5.

3 - 7 p.m.

Walk the Beat

Music, food, prizes and sales supporting local youth

Location: Superior Street, Downtown Albion

Eight bands, food trucks, door prizes, open houses and sales all along Superior Street!
Walk the Beat is a free, family-oriented event designed specifically to connect small businesses in the area with local musicians. Connecting community is at the heart of the Walk the Beat effort as we strive to create a fun, inexpensive way to promote local businesses and musicians, musical instruments for kids, and Albion’s Big Read. In addition to each location promoting their products or services, they may also provide food, coupons and games and/or small prizes for kids. Raffle tickets for cash and prizes raise money for local youth.
