ALBION, Mich. — The man hailed by "New Yorker" magazine as "the country's leading political impressionist" spins the 2008 campaign for a south Michigan audience, as satirist Jim Morris visits Albion College Friday, Sept 26, at 8:15 p.m. in the College's Goodrich Chapel.
Political impressionist/satirist Morris is famed for his critically acclaimed, "one-man press conferences" featuring President George W. Bush, with visits from former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Reagan, as well as newsmakers such as Obama, McCain, Al Gore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harry Reid, Rush Limbaugh and many others. Morris has starred in comedy specials on ABC, CBS, Cinemax and HBO, appeared on the Tonight Show, CNN's Crossfire, and Larry King Live, and provides the voices for the "Saturday Night Live" cartoon series "The EX-PRESIDENTS."
"We felt this was a great way to celebrate the election season and the 30th anniversary of the Ford Institute," said Albion College Ford Institute director Al Pheley, noting that along with the Ford institute's 30th anniversary celebration, the weekend is also the College's Homecoming. "Everyone will enjoy some comedy about the upcoming political season.
