Day of Interfaith Service
Albion College's next Day of Interfaith Service will be Saturday, April 20. Individuals, student organizations, and College departments are invited to be involved. Volunteers will be helping residents of the City of Albion in rehabilitating a park. This will include a lot of different kinds of manual labor, including digging, painting, and tearing stuff down. If we get a ton of volunteers, there are other projects we might do in the City (and at the Nature Center), but we'll wait and see how many people are interested.
The Day of Interfaith Service has three parts:
- 9:00 a.m. - Noon -- Volunteering (1st shift)
- 1:00-4:00 p.m. -- Volunteering (2nd shift)
- 4:30-5:30 p.m. -- Discussion and Pizza and Salad at the Umbrella House
Volunteers are asked to do one or two shifts, and then join the discussion following, which will be facilitated by a member of the Bridge interfaith council for Albion College (Office of the Chaplain).
Albion College is one of over 300 colleges and universities nationally participating in the President's Interfaith and Community Service Challenge for 2012-2013.
