What you’ll study.

Acting and directing. Scenic, lighting, and costume design. Dramatic theory and history. Stage management and arts administration. You’ll learn from faculty who have extensive experience as professional actors, directors, designers, and technicians. The Albion Theatre Department will give you a rigorous classroom experience, balanced with an ambitious production season dedicated to professional standards.

What you’ll do.

Get on stage or work backstage—every Albion student is welcome. We stage four productions every year, each running for two weeks. And our seasons are diverse. You will tackle Shakespeare, Ibsen, musicals, and cutting-edge contemporary plays. The Theatre Department is a fully-functioning theatre company where students handle every aspect from design and stage management, to publicity and box office sales. Excellent opportunities for off-campus theatre studies in New York, Philadelphia, and numerous international cities are also available.

Where you’ll go.

Auditions. Connections. Experience. Whether you choose to enter the professional theatre industry or continue on to graduate school after Albion, you’ll benefit from our close ties to professional theatres, festivals, and the New York Arts Program.
