Hakeem Davidson is currently working on his DMA in Clarinet Performance at Michigan State University, where he also earned his Master’s Degree. He is a regular rotating section member of the MSU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony, appearing on two of their recently recorded CDs. Originally from Texas, he earned his Bachelors degree in clarinet performance from the University of Texas-Arlington. There, he was twice a finalist in the Concerto Competition and performed in several ensembles working with world renowned composers. Hakeem is extremely dedicated to chamber music; he was the clarinetist in various ensembles at the 2013 Saarburg Chamber Music Festival (Saarbug, Germany.) Hakeem regularly performs in the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Mostly Modern Orchestra of 2018.
