Maggie Troost, '18, is an Accounting major with a C.P.A emphasis. She is president of the Accounting Society, and an active volunteer for the past 3 years in the Economics and Management Department's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. Awarded through the accounting department both the Ernst and Young scholarship and a Gaylord Smith scholarship. She is also part of the women varsity soccer team, where the team has won the most community service hours' recognition, along with overall team spirit award. Maggie has individually received the MIAA Defensive player of the week in both 2014 and 2015.
Maggie interned with La-Z-Boy at the World Headquarters in Monroe, Michigan as a credit intern. This experience gave Maggie knowledge of different aspects of business from working over the phone with dealers to viewing financial trends. Currently in her senior year, she is seeking out a career to expand her knowledge in the accounting field. After graduation, Maggie hopes to gain a career as a Certified Public Accountant.
