Angela Adams, ’19, is an economics and management major and a business and organizations and communication studies double minor. She is a member of the Carl A. Gerstacker institute for Business and Management. In addition, she is a member of the Albion College Volleyball team, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and the Phi Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. Finally, she is also a student photographer on campus and a member of the Student Marketing Committee.
In her junior year, Angela traveled to Philadelphia to participate in the immersive Philadelphia Center program. She interned with the Urban League of Philadelphia in the fiscal department. She worked closely with the Chief Financial Officer as a Financial Associate with this non-profit organization. “The Philadelphia Center is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore living, learning, and working in a big city. The program provides a safety net while the faculty and staff push the students to take risks and grow as individuals.
“I am thankful for Albion because of all the opportunities it has provided me with. Without Albion, and the wonderful people that I have met along the way, I would not be where I am today. I get to play the sport that I love, explore the possibilities of my major, meet phenomenal mentors and leaders, and put my classroom learning into action with experiential learning opportunities like the Philadelphia Center.”
