E&M Alumni Speak During Unique Class

Manby graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Albion College with a degree in economics and management

The importance of developing local talent and understanding demographics in order to place the right amount of product in a new market were just two of the points made by a panel of Albion College economics and management alumni to students from Albion and the American College of Greece in Athens during a unique class session Thursday, Feb. 28.

DeWaters' Business Venture Is a Dream

Jessica DeWaters, '13, opened The Dreamery cupcake bar in Albion College's Kellogg Center to get a taste for owning and running a business.
A quote attributed to Confucius states, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

Jessica DeWaters, '13, an economics and management major from Parma, is proving that adage to be true as she has developed her love for baking into The Dreamery, a student venture that has become Albion College's first cupcake bar.

Rogers, '14, Stars in Economics Competitions

john-rogers-dec12-130x110John Rogers, '14, is the perfect example that competition isn't limited to the athletic arena at Albion College. An economics and management major from Rochester, Mich., Rogers developed the policy stances presented by an Albion team that has reached the final round in a competition sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He’s also back as the Britons defend their regional championship in the Federal Reserve Challenge.
