Lea graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in International Development Studies. After graduation, she lived in Burkina Faso, West Africa, for a year volunteering with the Mennonite Central Committee’s S.A.L.T. Program (Serving and Learning Together). Since her return home, Lea moved closer into the city of Albion and worked as an Assistant Manager at the Bohm Theatre and a barista at Stirling Books and Brew where she has been able to learn more about the community in which she lives. Lea is happy to join the team at the Ford Institute and is looking forward to being surrounded by students who are not only curious about what is happening around the world, but who also want to be a part of those happenings.
