Subjects: Two academic courses in various fields and internship. Courses include British Politics, European International Relations, International Management, Classical Music and Its Meaning in the Modern World, Modern European Art, London Theater: Dramatic Texts and Theatrical Performances, Health Policy and Gender, Society and Literature. Sample internships include placements in advertising & public relations, arts administration, architecture, banking, business, education, education, environment, graphic design, health care, law firms, medical research, museums & art galleries, politics, pressure groups, publishing, social services, and theatre.
Prerequisites: 3.0 GPA; junior-level standing; demonstrated maturity.
Length: Semester or Summer (internship only)
Housing: Shared housing in flats.
Costs not covered by Albion: Round trip airfare to London; board ; local and vacation travel; transportation in London, miscellaneous personal expenses.
Comments: Program includes a five-day orientation in London. During this time students are housed together at the orientation hotel. Internships are 4 days per week, unpaid. Credit for internship work hinges on supervision from an Albion College cooperating professor. Arrangements for this must be made prior to departure from campus.
