Subjects: Advanced undergraduate science and social science; extra course work may be available on a credit/no credit basis at nearby colleges and universities.
Prerequisites: Upper-class majors in biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, physics or the social sciences. The program is primarily designed for seniors, but juniors who give evidence of the capacities demanded at Oak Ridge will be considered. Grade point average of at least a 3.0, overall and in their majors.
Length: Fall Semester only
Credit: 4.0 units
Faculty: One faculty member from GLCA and ACM member colleges. Faculty interests will represent a number of the areas in which Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) conducts research.
Housing: Housing is provided in an apartment complex in Oak Ridge.

Cost: Albion College tuition, fees and room covers program tuition, fees, and room.
Costs Not Covered by Albion: Travel to Oak Ridge, Tennessee (up to $500 reimbursed by ORSS), and local travel. Students are responsible for their food, books and other personal expenses.
Comments: Selection to the program may carry a significant stipend awarded during the fall semester (subject to funding) by ORNL, located near Knoxville. Students are advised to have a car or some means of transportation in Oak Ridge as housing tends to be a distance from the laboratories. Students will often carpool as there is no local bus service.Contact:
