Nicole is a wildlife ecologist that specializes in invasive species and science communication. She earned her BS in Biology: Natural Resources through Central Michigan University and is finishing her MS in Conservation Biology at CMU, studying the impact of the invasive mute swan on the coastal wetlands of the Great Lakes. Nicole most recently worked with the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority as a park naturalist interpreter at the Indian Springs Metropark’s Environmental Discovery Center. She is the producer and host of a weekly livestream broadcast called Scicomm Monday. She is an expert in using social media for science communication, having run workshops throughout North America to help scientists better communicate with their audiences.
