  • Camp Med

    June 18 – 21, 2018

    “Camp Med” Returns for Third Year!

    Camp Med is a medical school preparatory camp for rising high school seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Student participants will have the opportunity to learn in hands-on environments, such as our anatomy and physiology labs, while working with Biology, Chemistry, Kinesiology, Physics, and Psychology faculty on cardiology-themed topics. Students will also take part in sessions on college and medical school admissions, with a focus on how they can better prepare themselves for a career in medicine. Participants will receive college credit for this four-day experiential learning camp on Albion College's campus.

  • Go Eco… For a Sustainable Future!

    June 18 – 21, 2018

    Experience an all-inclusive pre-college overnight camp for high school students.

    The Ecology and Sustainability Camp is a summer academic program designed for high school students who are entering grades 10-12 and are passionate about the environment. Students will learn through active participation in hands-on activities that demonstrate sustainable living and that promote the understanding of ecological interactions among organisms. Students will also gain experience in nature writing and journaling. The program includes a session about careers associated with the fields of ecology and sustainability. The course is a collaboration between the Biology Department and the Center for Sustainability and the Environment. Participants will receive college credit for this four-day experiential learning camp on the Albion College campus.

  • Gerstacker Business Bootcamp

    June 18 – 21, 2018

    College Life. College Credit. College Prep. An overnight residential camp for high school students.

    Business Boot Camp is a business exploration camp for rising high school students that will provide an introduction to business careers and leadership. Student participants will have the opportunity to learn with interactive events such as team building, DiSC personality assessment, and networking with professionals.

    • Student participants described the team building activity as "very interactive."
    • They liked that the DiSC personality assessment "showed our strengths,"
    • And found value in networking with professionals because they were able to "learn more about unique fields, ask our own questions and talk to people who could be future employers."

    Students will also take part in sessions on college admissions and the liberal arts approach to business. Participants will receive college credit for this four-day experiential learning camp on Albion College’s campus.

  • Gerald Ford Summer Leadership Institute Camp

    June 18 – 21, 2018

    From the halls of your high school to the halls of Congress, we need good leaders!

    Join us for an overnight all-inclusive pre-college camp for high school students entering grades 10-12.

    Do you want to be a leader in your student council? Do you want to lead a volunteer project? Do you have dreams of becoming an elected leader? All three roles need the same skills and the Gerald Ford Summer Leadership Camp will teach you those skills.

    • Learn to be a leader in your community
    • Learn to effectively engage a team
    • Learn to advocate for ideas that will make an impact

    The Leadership Institute Camp will also show you how Michigan's only President, Gerald Ford, used those skills while in office. Whether you want to make a difference at your school, in your community, or beyond, the Ford Summer Leadership Institute will give you the tools you need to be an effective leader.

    Spend four days with us and learn to advocate for the greater good. Participants will receive college credit for this experiential learning camp on Albion College's campus.

  • Computer Camps

    August 6–10, 2018

    Learn to create video games, produce stop-motion animation movies, code computer programs, modify mods in Minecraft, conduct science experiements, and build/program LEGO robots in a week-long day camp at Albion College! Full and half day programs for ages 7-14 with a technology ratio of 1:1 student-to-computer. Register soon, class size is limited!

  • Catching the Wave! The Physics of Music Camp

    July 15 – 19, 2018

    For High school students entering grades 10-12. In this week-long, hands-on workshop, students will explore the world of musical sound waves, and analyzing and understanding the acoustic reasons why music sounds the way it does. We'll use a number of different technological tools in experiments where students will create synthesized sounds, analyze the waveforms generated by musical instruments and the human voice, and get acquainted with principles of architectural acoustics. There will also be opportunities to use compositional and audio software to enhance your abilities to create your own music. Participants will receive college credit for this five-day experiential learning camp on Albion College's campus

    Students who play a musical instrument are encouraged to bring one along - we'll combine live musical performance with our technological creations in a closing public recital!

    Cost for attendance is $799 and due by May 30.
